children and youth ministries

Christ Community offers many opportunities for children to grow in their faith.

Children's ministries

Nursery care is provided during the Sunday morning worship gathering for families with young children.  A baby nursery is available for children under 18 months and a toddler nursery is available for kids 4 and under.  The baby nursery is also available during the Sunday School hour from 10:30 -11:15.

There is a "cry room" available for mothers with babies located adjacent to the sanctuary which allows mothers to see and hear into the sanctuary from a private space.

J.A.M. (Jesus And Me)

Each Sunday morning, all children 3 years old through Kindergarten are invited to participate in J.A.M. (Jesus and Me), which meets in the classroom located on the east side of the Family Center during the 9 a.m. worship service.  J.A.M. is an age-appropriate worship service with singing, Bible teaching, Scripture memory, and other activities intended to foster joyful worship among our children. A team of dedicated leaders rotate on a monthly schedule in order to provide consistency for the children attending J.A.M. Please do not hesitate to contact our J.A.M. coordinator, Becky Roth, email, if you have any questions pertaining to your child's involvement in J.A.M.

Sunday School

The Christ Community Sunday School program offers classes for all ages each week at 10:30.  Nursery care is available during Sunday School for children who are newborn up to 2 years old.  Sunday School classes afford both students and adults an opportunity to grow in knowledge of God's Word and to spur one another on toward love and good works in Christ.  Each Spring, month-long book groups are available for adults to join during the Sunday School hour.  Sunday School classes and book groups have each been a helpful means of enhancing community with one another and individual spiritual growth. Children's Church

On the first and third Sundays of every month, children from 1st through 5th grade meet in the Family Center from 9-10 a.m. for Children’s Church where they learn from the Bible, pray together, and sing joyfully to the Lord.  Children’s Church is intended to offer an age-appropriate, easily understandable worship service for our children.  We conduct Children’s Church only twice a month because we want to ensure that our children also have the opportunity to worship alongside their parents and the rest of the Body of Christ.  It is important to us that our youth ministries supplement, but not replace, the God-ordained role of parents in instructing children in the ways of the Lord.

Junior High

Our junior high students (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) meet on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Students are instructed in Biblical truths and how to apply them to everyday life. The time of learning and worship is followed by various activities such as dodgeball, kickball, and a host of other games.

The Jr. High Youth Group is led by our Youth Pastor Intern, Zack Puck, who can be reached at

senior high

Our Sr. High Youth Group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm. However, the students are encouraged to join us at 7:00 pm for coffee, snacks and hang-out time. A student-led band leads worship and one of the adult leaders teaches. Small groups also meet regularly with our adult leaders.
